DARTMOUTH — Marjorie A. Waldo, of Dartmouth, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008. She was the wife of John L. Waldo Jr.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Jennie Andrews. She was educated in New Bedford schools, Lincoln School in Providence and Rhode Island School of Design. She and John eloped on July 4, 1936.
After living in Florida for 25 years, they returned to this area in 2001.
Marjorie loved gardening, and was a talented artist and crafts woman.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, John III of New Jersey; her daughter, Ann Moniz of Dartmouth; and grandsons, Jay Elsner of New Bedford, Kevin Elsner of Dartmouth and Charlie Brown "the bird" of Dartmouth.
