Billy Nesbitt Hodges, 80, Cunningham, TN, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Harriett Bryan-Harris officiating. Burial will be in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hodges was born June 22, 1928 in Montgomery County, son of the late Homer M. Hodges and Nancy Lewis Johnson Hodges. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the American Legion, and the Memory Lane Cruisers Car Club. He was a life long farmer and retired from B.F. Goodrich- Vulcan. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Eades Hodges; daughters Carol Ussery (Laurin), and Jackie Moore (Bobby); a brother, Homer Lewis Hodges; a sister, Mary Nell Rankin; four grandchildren, Michelle Kirby, Daniel Moore, Scott Moore, and Michelle Albritton; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Bill Blackwell, Don Priest, Wayne Greene, Scott Moore, Daniel Moore, J.D. Bumpus, Bill Ed Freeman, and Lewis Bumpus. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Morrison, Jack Bumpus, Lonnie Bumpus, Marshall Hinton, and Alex Morrison.
