Obituary

DRACUT - Anna T. (Kulakowski) Sokolowski, 91, a resident of Dracut for more than 67 years, died peacefully Monday September 22, 2008 at a local nursing home.

She was the wife of the late Michael Sokolowski, who died in 2002, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.

She was born in Lowell on February 25, 1917, a daughter of the late Michael and Antonia (Novick) Kulakowski and attended local schools.

Mrs. Sokolowski was employed for 30 years at the former Universal Heel Co. of Lowell, retiring in 1972.

She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Lowell. She enjoyed bingo, making braided rugs, sewing, and was a devoted Red Sox, and Patriots fan.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Michael C. and Judith E. Sokolowski of Tyngsboro, a granddaughter, Kimberly A. Patch and her husband Jonathan, of Dracut, a great granddaughter Emma R. Patch of Dracut, a sister Mary James of Lowell, a brother Anthony Kulakowski of Nashua.

She also leaves five nieces, Debbie and her husband Michael McGrade of Hudson, Nancy and her husband Anthony Pizzo of Winchester, Dorathea and her husband Mark Gness of Dracut, Patricia and her husband Jorge Tabares of Dracut, Janice Alto of California; a nephew Jack James of Hudson; several grandnieces, and grandnephews; and her close friends Sharron and Brian Small of Dracut.

She was also the mother of the late Steven Sokolowski, and the sister of the late Catherine, Peter, Michael, Frank, and Andrew Kulakowski.

It being her wishes Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT.
