Marianna A. Rizzo, 94 of Somerville, died Tuesday after a long illness in the Grosvenor Park Nursing Center, Salem, MA. Born in Villamania, Italy, she lived in Somerville since 1958 and was the daughter of the late Maria (Mastrominico) and Michael D´Amato. Marianna was very active at the former St. Polycarp Church in Somerville for many years.
Beloved wife of the late Carmine Rizzo. Devoted mother of Alfonso Rizzo of Medford, Fiorenza D'Amore of Revere, Michael Rizzo of Lexington, M. Linda O'Dea of Revere, and Loretta Cremin of VA. Also survived by 12 loving grandchildren and 15 loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late Lucia Scotti, Gilda and Antonio D’Amato. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
