Dale R. Carey, 77, of Bellingham, died, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Hazel M. (Buzzell) Carey who died in 1995.
Born in Malden on May 2, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Florence (Robson) Carey. Mr. Carey resided in Bellingham since 1953 other than the 11 years after his wife died, where he lived in Concord, NH.
He was a graduate of Malden High School and served in the Army for 2 years during the Korean War.
Mr. Carey worked at Hewlett Packard for several years until his retirement in 1993.
Mr. Carey was an airplane enthusiast and enjoyed attending air shows. He was also a member of the Am Vets in Millis.
He is survived by four children, Michael Carey and his wife, Jackie of Milford, Barbara LaCroix of Bellingham, Jeanne Cimmino and her husband, Joe of Bowdoinham, ME and Brett Carey and his wife, Doreen of Fairlee, VT.
He is also survived by a brother, Donald Carey and his wife, Edith of Upton and six grandchildren.
Mr. Carey was predeceased by five brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, September 27 at 11 a.m. in the Ginley – Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 - 7 p.m.
