Winna Clair Chambers, age 77, of Water Valley passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at Yalobusha County Nursing Home. She was born on August 10, 1931 in Senatobia, MS to Hampton and Emma (Kopf) Rich. She retired from Big Yank in Water Valley, MS and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Water Valley, MS.
The family will receive friends at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Dickerson officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with Lance Humphreys, David Shaw, Kenan Stewart, Bryan Chambers, Jay Carmen, Randy McGee, and Kyle Chambers serving as pallbearers and A. B. Nolan, Joe Newman, Roy Bennett Stevens, and Eddie McGee serving as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by: two daughters, Verna Clair Stevens and husband, Butch of Water Valley, MS and Patsy Humphreys and husband, Billy of Water Valley, MS; a son, Larry Chambers and wife, Jenny of Iuka, MS; two brothers, Wade Rich of Senatobia, MS and Bobby Rich of Independence, MS; eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Chambers.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Water Valley, MS and Harmony United Methodist Church in Iuka, MS.
