Jane M. Lonergan, (Ryan) of Bridgewater, formerly of Canton, died on September 19, 2008 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, at the age of 80. Born in New York, a daughter of the late William & Gladys (Gazzola) Ryan, she was raised & educated in Boston. She lived in Canton for 50 years before moving to Bridgewater 5 years ago. Jane was a homemaker who loved animals, music, reading & attending performances at the South Shore Music Circus. She was the wife of 50 years of the late James W. Lonergan; mother of Carol Bois & her husband Philip, & Patricia Christy all of Bridgewater; sister of William Ryan of Ohio, Margaret Hinds, & Toni Chella & her husband Joseph of Weymouth, Terri Greene of Ct. Mary Lou Keppler of Idaho, & the late John Hinds Jr. Also survived by her dear cousin, John Bennett of Dorchester & several nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason (formerly Prophett Funeral Home) 98 Bedford St. (Rt 18) Bridgewater on Tuesday at 8:00 Am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St. Bridgewater at 9:00 Am. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4-8 Pm.
