Obituary

Manchester -Adrien D. Boudreau, 92 died September 21, 2008 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on February 13, 1916 the son of Andre and Marie-Louise (Dancause) Boudreau. He was educated in Manchester Schools until a sporting injury caused him to loose his hearing and he withdrew from formal education. He gained a wealth of knowledge by reading and became self taught. With the introduction of closed captioning in television he was able to expand his knowledge by watching news shows and documentaries. He worked many years in the Manchester shoe industry at Salvage Shoe, Johnson Shoe and J.F. McElwain, retiring after 40 years.
Mr. Boudreau was able to enjoy music, going to the beach, dog races, horse races, he was also an avid Red Sox fan.
Members of his family include a sister Mrs. Raymond T. (Claire) Seidel of Manchester as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and cousins.
IN HIS LIFE:He was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Lionel, sisters Adrienne Boudreau, Irene Vadnais, Anita Boudreau, Lillian Bodkin and Estelle B. Fannon.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St., Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Activities Dept., 400 Mast Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.
