Obituary

Helen Brazil Grosh, 84, of Tifton went home to be her Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2008. She passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones. Join us in a celebration of her life on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Tifton. Dr. W. Ches Smith III, Dr. Wayne Roe and Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Grosh loved and adored her family. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family and her "babies". Mrs. Grosh was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Tifton and served as director of the ceramics ministry for 12 years at First Baptist's Family Life Center. She was an avid gardener and a Garden Club member. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Evelyn Miner and Nelta Giles; and one brother, Walter Brazil.

Mrs. Grosh is survived by her one true love and husband of 62 years, John S. Grosh; her daughters and sons-in-law, Tori and Jesse Farmer of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kathy and Pete Gravey of Tifton; her five grandchildren, Tricia Farmer Redenius of Jacksonville, Florida, Greg Farmer of Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer Haynes and her husband, Chad, of Tifton, Allison Faircloth and her husband, Will, of Adel, and Jonathan Garvey of Tifton; and her five great grandchildren, Isabelle Redenius of Jacksonville, Florida, Claire and Maggie Haynes of Tifton and Mitch and Gavin Faircloth of Adel. Mrs. Grosh had several nieces and nephews in Jacksonville, Pam Goodwin, Al Miner, Suzanne and Ray Giles, and Cindy and Bill Brazil.
