BOSTON: Henry A. Beaudry, Sr. age 67, a resident of Franklin, NH, formerly of Chelmsford and Lowell, died Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Boston Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Collopy) Beaudry, with whom he celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on August 18, 2008.
Born in Lowell on May 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Henry V. and the late Beatrice (Lussier) Beaudry.
Mr. Beaudry was raised in Lowell and attended the former Lowell Trade School.
He resided in Chelmsford for 10 years and the Pawtucketville section of Lowell for 30 years and until moving to Franklin, NH in 2004.
While living in Chelmsford he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and later attended the former St. Jeanne D’Arc Parish of Lowell.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed for over 10 years as a foreman by the City of Lowell Parks Department. In earlier years, he ran the auto body department for the former Jim Witt Motors of Lowell and Garfield Motors of Nashua, NH.
Mr. Beaudry was a member of the Pawtucketville Social Club of Lowell and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (A.F.S.C.M.E)
According to his family, he loved spending time with his granddaughter Kirsten, who was the “apple of his eye”.
He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and tinkering in his garage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Henry A. Beaudry, Jr. of Nashua, NH and Brian J. Beaudry of Franklin, NH; one daughter, Nicole Chandonnet and her husband Marc of Sanbornton, NH; his granddaughter, Kirsten Chandonnet of Sanbornton, NH; five brothers, Raymond Beaudry of Tyngsboro, Roland Beaudry and his wife Sharon of Lowell, Robert Beaudry and his wife Gloria of Newbury, NH, Norman Beaudry and his wife Celine and Ralph Beaudry all of Dracut; one sister, Therese Landry of Dracut; also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beaudry was the father of the late Brenda B. Beaudry.
Calling hours Wednesday, Sept. 24th, 10-11:30 a.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by a graveside service at 12 Noon at the Chapel of St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford. At the request of the family, those attending the services are encouraged to ride their motorcycle if possible. Interment will follow in the family lot. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210 are suggested.
