Dominic S. Silvestro, of Medford MA, died Sunday at his home, after a brief illness. He was 75.
Mr. Silvestro was born in Boston, the son of the late Dominic and the late Antoinette (Capelino) Silvestro. He was raised in South Boston and settled in Medford following his discharge from the US Navy after World War II.
He retired form the Water Department of the Mass. DPW and then worked as a Clerk with the US Postal Service at South Station. He retired several years ago.
He is survived by his beloved wife Teresa (Pasquinelli) Silvestro, sons: James Silvestro of Canton, Thomas Silvestro of Andover, Stephen Silvestro of Peabody, and daughter: Jean Silvestro of Medford. He leaves one sister: Mary Bazzinotti of Somerville, and brothers, Joseph Silvestro of Somerville, George Silvestro of Medford, and Anthony Silvestro of Andover.He was the loving grandfather of 2.He was predeceased by brother, Vincent Silvestro, and sister, Constance Palumbo.
Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Wednesday at 9 AM.Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
