Roland J. “Butch” Bosse Jr., 58 of Medway died suddenly at his home on September 20, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Lily (Pawlowski) Bosse for the past 34 years.
Born in Boston, March 3, 1950, the son of Beverly (Hazelton) Bosse-Howland of North Weymouth and the late Roland J. Bosse, Mr. Bosse was raised in Dorchester and had lived in Medway since 1973.
He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School Class of 1968 and Newberry College Class of 1974 and Northeastern University Class of 1981.
Mr. Bosse had worked for the General Electric Company since 1968 and was an account manager at the time of his death.
Mr. Bosse served in the Army during the Viet Nam War in the 1st Cavalry Divi sion attaining the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He was awarded two Purple Hearts for wounds he received in the War. He was a member of the DAV.
Mr. Bosse had been a little league coach for his sons in Medway and enjoyed playing hockey, softball and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Mr. Bosse’s family was the center of his life and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons, Keith Bosse and his wife, Dawn of Medway and Edward Bosse and his wife, Kate of Medway. He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne of Milton, David of Woonsocket, RI, Douglas of Dorchester and Glenn of Whitman. He was the brother of the late Kenneth and Greggary Bosse. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brendan and Claire Bosse and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 24 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
