Lucy R. (Verrengia) Marinelli passed away on September 19, 2008. She was 94 years old.
Lucy was a lifelong resident of Malden and a longtime parishioner of St. Peter’s Church. She was also the owner of the former Stadium Café in Malden for many years.
Lucy was the devoted wife of the late William Marinelli. She was the beloved mother of Jerilyn Barton and her husband Peter of Wakefield, Carol Luca of Wakefield and Beverly DiCato of Malden. She was the dear sister of Rose LaVerde of Medford and the late Mary Monti and Remo and Jerry Verrengia. Lucy was the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, September 23rd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, September 22nd from 4-8 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
