Alice A. Levasseur, 87, of 9 Isabelle St. died April 6, 2003 in Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Franklin on June 10, 1915, the daughter of Alpide and Amanda (Lemire) Dumoulin and had lived in Laconia most of her life.
Mrs. Levasseur owned and operated Henry’s Dry Cleaners with her husband for many years. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart parish and was a member of the Sodality of St. Anne of the parish.
Alice was known as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Her husband, Elie W. Levasseur died April 11, 1986. In addition she was pre-deceased by her son, Joseph E. Levasseur in September 2002 and three sisters, Julia Dumoulin, Adelina Carignan and Cedelie Levasseur.
Family members include two grandsons, Christian Levasseur and Steven Levasseur, both of Laconia; many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour was held in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM. A funeral ceremony was held in the Funeral Home at 10 AM. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin later this spring.
