Obituary

Michael Joseph Walsh of Mashpee, formerly of Lawrence, Taunton and Norfolk, died Monday, September 15, 2008, after a brief illness. He was 63 years old.
Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Edward and Gilda (Coppeta) Walsh. He attended Lawrence High School and graduated from Coyle and Cassidy High School, Taunton. He served in the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserve. A former draftsman, Mr. Walsh attended the Wentworth Institute and the Boston Architectural Center. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Mashpee.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his loving companion and former wife, Madeleine (Brisson) Walsh of Cape Cod, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Friday, September 19, 2008, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends gathered in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main St., Andover, at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass. Burial was in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover.
