Doris E. (Fraser) Collucci
79, of Brighton, died at home after fighting pancreatic cancer on September 17th, 2008. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony R. Collucci. Loving, fun, nurturing and practical mom to Janice M. Collucci of Maine and mother-in-law to Susan J Grindle and the late Anthony R. Collucci, Jr. Caring sister to Edna Daigle of NH, Marie Daigle of Salem, the late Ervin Fraser of Hamilton and sister-in-law Doris Fraser of Hamilton. Doris was survived by many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted grandchildren and dear friends.
Born in Lynn to Ervin and Hattie Fraser, she devoted her life to her family and being a witness to her faith. She was always ready for an adventure, be it a walk by the Charles, a vacation to Hawaii or a camping trip to Maine she was ready to go and have fun with her family or friends. She was an active parish member of St. Columbkille’s holding officeships and memberships in the Legion of Mary and the Catholic Daughters of Americas and membership in the St. Columbkille’s Sodality as well as being an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Doris worked varied jobs throughout her life while raising her family and ended her work career at the Bank of Boston after 10 years of service in 1987.
Funeral from the Lehman & Reen Funeral Home Saturday September 20, 2008 at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Columbkille Church at 10:30 AM. Relative and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, September 19, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery Lynn.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Doris Collucci may be made to any organization that works to care for our elderly and sick as Doris always did with the Legion of Mary visiting and praying with many people at our local nursing homes or to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice, 310 Allston Street, Brighton, MA 02135.
