Obituary

Salem: Jeannette M. (Arsenault) Beaupre age 90 of Salem, died Wednesday evening at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Omer C. Beaupre.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Vitale and Domitile (Bourque) Arsenault. As a young woman she first worked for the former CBS Hytron of Salem. Married to Omer in 1940, she left the Hytron to devote her time to her family. As her children entered their later school years, she returned to work for the Salem Laundry.
Jeannette was a compassionate and caring woman with a quiet sense of humor, who was devoted to her family and her church. A member of Ste. Anne Parish, she was involved in much of the fund raising activities as well as the neighborhood heart and cancer drives. Jeannette was proud to be working the polls at the Loring Ave. fire station until the age of 88.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne L. Judge and her husband Jerome M. of Salem, 3 sons: Richard D. Beaupre and his wife Karin E. of South Carolina, Robert D. and his wife Nancy J. of Lynn, Paul D. and his wife Rose L. of Amesbury, a sister, Theresa La Francois of Salem, 8 grandchildren: Derek, David & Matthew Beaupre and Danielle Cook, Rachel & Brian Christopher, Amy & Aaron Judge. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Michael & Abigail Cook, Jordan, Shannon, Luke & Nathan Beaupre, Michael & Ryan Armstrong, Hannah-Rose White and Rosemarie Christopher, nieces, nephews and her life long friends Sonny and & Cecile Cote of Danvers.
Jeannette was predeceased by 7 sisters: Madeleine Robinson, Josephine Bourque, Julia Melanson, Yvonne Dionne, Lucille Cudmore, Alma Roy, Alice Parent, and 5 brothers: Peter, Theodore, Arthur, Henry and Gerard Arsenault.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 8 am at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Sunday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
