Joe Willie Carr was born in Yalobusha County, Water Valley, MS October 26, 1920 to the late Will and Georgia Shaw Martin Carr. He departed this life on September 16, 2008 at the Yalobusha County Nursing Facility in Water Valley, MS.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Sanders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Carr served his country in the United Sates Army during WWII and was a carpenter.
Visitation is planned for Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Sanders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS from 10 until service time at 1:00 pm. The committal will follow the service at Sanders Chapel Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, many relatives and friends; and a special caregiver, Alfear Jenkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sixteen brothers and sisters.
