Ralph H. “Pete” Romines
Grovetown, GA – Ralph H. “Pete” Romines, 70, entered into rest on Monday September 15, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday September 19, 2008 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Rev. Frankie May officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Romines was a true patriot and was very proud of his country. He was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served over 26 years in the United States Army, where he earned numerous medals including the Bronze Star. Mr. Romines also worked for 18 years in Civil Service for the Department of Defense (CECOM). He was a member of the German / American Club, American Legion #192, and a life time member of VFW #6445.
Survivors include his loving wife, Gerda Jernigan Romines of Grovetown, two sons, Mike Romines (Sheryl) of Boulder City, NV, Kenneth Jernigan (Monika) of Grovetown, six daughters, Elizabeth Turner of Craig, AK, Rosie Hopkins of Sierra Vista, AZ, Renate Varvel of Des Moines, IA, Kathy Reigle of Martinez, Corina Bussey of Jacksonville, FL, Manuela Williams (Scott) of Marietta, GA, one brother, Arnold Romines of Bowling Green, KY, one sister, Lottie Fansler of Bowling Green, KY, one sister-in-law, Ruby Romines of Camden, KY, 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Livingston’s staff at Center for Primary Care, Dr. Kattine at Trinity Hospice and nurses, Lillie, Amy, Frankie, Sandra, and all the family and friends who have helped the family during this trying time.
The family will receive friends on Friday September 19, 2008 from 11:00 AM until the service time.
