Emilia “Emily (Mello) Pavao, age 93 of Fall River, passed away Sept. 16, 2008. Widow of Arthur C. Pavao, Sr. & daughter of the late Manuel and Emilia (Raimondo) Mello. She was a lifelong Fall River resident, a member of St. Michael Church and the American Legion Post #314 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a retired spinner at Sagamore #3.
She is survived by 1 son: Arthur C. Pavao, Jr. of Fall River; 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and several nieces & nephews. She was mother of the late Barbara Bettencourt and sister of the late Manuel Mello, Jr., Michael and Annie Medeiros, Diamentina Dias, Bella Gonsalves, Elsie Howard and Lena Falone and grandmother of late granddaughter.
Her private funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Thursday at 8 A.M. followed by funeral mass in St. Michael Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
