Obituary

Albert J. Giannelli, of Concord NH, formerly of Medford, died Sunday at Presidential Oaks Nursing Home in Concord, NH. He was 93.

A life-long Medford resident, Albert was the son of the late Amodeo and Giovanina Giannelli. Albert served with the Army during World War II. Early in life he worked with Leaver Bros. Soap Company, then, until his retirement he worked as a sign maker with the MBTA. He was a member of the Circle Club of Medford. For the past few years he lived in New Hampshire to be close to his sons.


He was the beloved husband of the late Gladys (Vieira) Giannelli. He was a devoted father to Albert J. Giannelli, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Campton, NH and Richard Giannelli and his wife Laura of Merrimack, NH. He was a loving grandfather to Jeffrey and Jake Giannelli and Mitchell Edwards.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
