Charles T. Payne – Of Dedham, passed away September 14, 2008. He was 76.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Rita (Sears) Payne. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Dedham VFW, Jacob Jones Post 2014, Dedham American Legion, Marine Corps League and the D.A.V. He was a Retired Special Police Officer for the Town of Dedham.
Devoted father of Martha Cimo of Wrentham, Charles T. Payne Jr. of Walpole and Robert T. Payne of Dedham. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Friday at 8 AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Charles’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
