Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30 am. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 pm. Obituary
Mr. Langone died Friday at Life Care of West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Somerville, son of the late Domenic and Amelia (Booth) Langone, Graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1940. WW II US Army Veteran, receiving a Bronze Star. Served in North Africa, Italy, France and South Pacific. After the war Mr. Langone attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN where he became a professional baker. He was an employee of Stop & Shop Bakeries in North Station (Causeway Street) Boston retiring in 1983. After retiring he moved to Zephyrhills, Florida until 1998 and returned to Brockton. Member of VFW, Disabled American Veterans Chapter FL65 and President of Zephyrhills Mens Club. He enjoyed cooking, baking and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (Dwyer) Langone, a daughter Maureen O’Connor of Taunton and a son Robert D. Langone of Bridgewater, 4 grandchildren, John and Stephen Carriuolo and Eric and Lisa Langone and 2 great grandchildren Mia and John Carriuolo and a sister Lillian Enright of Billerica and several nieces and nephews.
