Maria I. (Duarte) deOliveira Lloyd, died on Sept. 11th at Rhode Island Hospital after a long illness. She was 69 years.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of Mary (Amaral) Duarte of Taunton and the late Augustinho Duarte, Sr.
Educated in Taunton schools, she was a graduate of Taunton High School.
She loved being around her cats, enjoyed crocheting and listening to Julio Iglesias.
Besides her mother, she leaves 2 sons, Maurice deOliveira and his wife Denise of N. Attleboro and Joseph deOliveira of Attleboro; 2 daughters, Paulette deOliveira-Kashtan and her husband Robert of Attleboro, and Nancy Hodson and her companion Don Green of New Ipswich, NH; 2 brothers, Augustine Duarte, III and his wife Susan of Taunton, and Paul Duarte and his wife Lisa of Taunton; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the former wife of Manuel M. deOliveira.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Sept. 16th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
