Albert Girard, Jr. 88, of Epping, NH passed away Fri. Sept. 12th at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.
Albert was born in Methuen, MA on Sept. 30, 1919, the son of Albert and Obeline (Roy) Girard. Albert worked for the Arlington Mills of Lawrence, MA, the Salem Coca Cola Bottling Company of Salem, NH and the Salem Public Schools of Salem, NH.
Albert served in the US Army 5th Division under General Patton and saw service in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the WW II Victory Medal.
Albert was involved in Salem Little League for many years. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan. Albert was a life member of the American Legion of Epping, NH and a life member of the VFW Post 8546 of Salem, NH.

10 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews
Calling hours will be Sunday Sept. 14th from 3 – 7PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday Sept. 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Epping, NH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Epping.
