Fred N. Geyer, 91, of Lakeville, formerly of New Bedford died Monday March 17, 2003 at Island Terrace Nursing Homeafter a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Alice M. (Robbins) Geyer, to whom he was married for 68 years.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Henry and Josephine (Panchely) Geyer, he was a lifelong resident of the area.
Mr. Geyer was formerly employed as a machinist at the Naval Torpedo Station in Newport, RI.
He enjoyed sport fishing and bowling.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Edna E. Dandrea of Sebring, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Alton Robbins of Dartmouth; a niece, Alice Ohm of Sebring; a nephew, Paul Dandrea of St. Cloud, Fla.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.He was the brother of the late Henry Geyer, Jr., and uncle of the late William P. Dandrea.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Geyer was cremated. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
