Mr. Richard J. Silvia, of Fall River and formerly of Taunton, died unexpectedly
Friday, September 12 in the Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. He was the former
husband of Deborah (Benaski) Silvia of Taunton. He was born 57 years ago in Taunton,
the son of the late Richard J. and Helen (Senechal) Silvia, Sr. He was educated in Taun-
ton and had been a city resident for most of his life before moving to Fall River a year
ago. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a dispatcher for the Checker Cab
Co. in Taunton for 25 years. Mr. Silvia enjoyed reading and fishing.
He leaves:
1 daughter: Christin Silvia of Taunton
1 brother: Edward Silvia of Taunton
2 nieces and 2 nephews
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
