Obituary

Whitman-George F. Simoneau 88 died in his Whitman home on Thursday Sept. 11th. He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth E. (Williams) Simoneau.

Born in Boston he was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Manning) Simoneau. He was raised in South Boston and attended Boston Schools.

George had been 50 year resident of Whitman, and worked his entire life as a Vending Machine Technician. He also worked as a shoe salesman for various local companies.

He loved his family and his dog “TJ” and was an avid Red Sox fan.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Peloquin of Whitman, his sister Louise Stackpole of Maine, and his two grandchildren Paul Michael and Katie. He was the father of the late Paul E. Simoneau and brother of the late Mary Simoneau and Alice Mahoney.

His services will be held Tuesday Sept. 16th at 11AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Monday Sept. 15th from 4-7 PM.
