WOBURN - Thomas S. Burket, 25, a resident of Woburn and former Tyngsboro resident, died unexpectedly Monday September 8th.
He was born in Winchester on December 15, 1982, and was the son of Howard S. and Ann B. (Foley) Burket. He attended Tyngsboro schools and was a graduate of Tyngsboro High School, class of 2001, where he played football, lacross, and hockey.
Thomas served in the United States Army Reserves.
He was employed as a veterinary technician by Woburn Animal Hospital. Prior to that he was employed by Best Friends Pet Care in Tyngsboro.
In his free time he loved to spend time with animals, especially dogs and ferrets, and he enjoyed playing and watching sports.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Sara-Ann Burket of Lowell, his paternal grandmother Ruth A. Burket of Chelmsford, his great aunt Mary McLaughlin of Woburn and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was also the grandson of the late Thomas W. Burket, and the late Thomas J. and Dorothy E. Foley.
Friends may call at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 4 until 8 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Burial in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery.
