LEICESTER: Ruth H. (Hammerbeck) Barney,68, of 76 Paxton St., died Wednesday, Sept. 10 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She was the wife of Christopher W. Barney who died in 1993. She leaves a daughter Laivena M. Barney and her companion Paul Nelson of Leicester, two brothers Richard A. Hammerbeck and his wife Judith of N.Leominster and Edward V. Hammerbeck and his wife Suzona of Leicester.
Ruth worked at Leicester Die & Tool, Inc. for many years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Auburn.
Born in Leicester, she was the daughter of Siegfried and Levina (Lambert) Hammerbeck
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 15 at 1:30p.m. in the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the service on Monday from 12:30 to 1:30p.m.in the funeral home.
