
SHREWSBURY-Nicholas D. D'Angelo, 73 of Shrewsbury, a long time Western Union supervisor, died wednesday April 2, 2003 in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Avenue after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Phyllis (Rupolo) D'Angelo, his daughter; Deborah McGrath, of Oakham, and a Son; Nicholas S. D'Angelo, and a grandson.
He was born in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Salvatore and Adeline (Colangelo) D'Angelo. He lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New york prior to moving here 25 years ago.
Mr. D'Angelo worked as a supervisor for Western Union for over 30 years, later working as a security guard at the Fallon Clinic, retiring in 1995
A Korean War Veteran, Mr. D'Angelo served in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, a noted stamp collector and avids sports fan.
The Funeral will be held Monday April 7, 2003 from the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., (www.brittonfuneralhomes.com) Shrewsbury, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Church 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be held from 7-9 P.M. Saturday April 5, 2003 and from 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. on Sunday April 6, 2003
