Mrs. Vera (Pogrebniak) Paletsky, 90, formerly of Central Park Terrace, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Sunbridge Care in Milford, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Anthony S. Paletsky, who died in 1980.
Born in Lowell, October 5, 1917, a daughter of the late Karp and Milania (Wolkovich) Pogrebniak, she was raised and educated in Framingham, and lived there until moving to Franklin in 1992.
Until her retirement in 1979, she worked as a machine operator at the former Dennison Mfg. Co. in Framingham for over 20 years.
She was past president of the Residents Committee at Sunbridge, and was a former member of the Franklin Senior Citizens. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin ad was a member of the Legion of Mary and served on the altar care committee.
She is survived by 2 sons: Anthony A. of Milford, Edward M. of Hampton, NH; 2 daughters Ann Benkowski of Manasses, VA, Helen Hurley of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Saturday, at 8:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com with a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Holliston.
