Josephine M. (Vinci) Mascetta, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away peacefully at the Glen Ridge Nursing Center in Medford on August 17, 2008. She was 93 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 2, 1914, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mariano and Mamie (Prisco) Vinci. Josephine was a wonderful cook and a longtime member of the South Medford Mothers Club. Above all, she was a very devoted family person, especially to her beloved grandchildren.
She will be sorely missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and her husband, Ron Chito of Medford, cherished grandchildren; Michelle and her husband, Brian Babineau of Peabody and Christopher Chito of Medford, brother; Remo Vinci of Reading and many nieces and nephews. She was also the devoted sister of the late William Vinci and Enzo Vinci.
Her funeral mass was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
