Curvelo, Sept. 9, Jose J. Curvelo, Sr. of Bridgewater died peacefully at Brockton Hospital, he was age 72. Jose was born in Santa Maria, Portugal in 1936 and married Etelvina Reis in 1960, they were married for 48 years. With two small children he immigrated to the United States in 1971. Jose worked for Henry Perkins Co. for over 28 years as a foundry worker. Jose was proud of his Portuguese heritage and was a member of the Bridgewater Portuguese Holy Ghost Society. He attended Sunday Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas in Bridgewater and loved fishing and spending time with his family. Jose was the loving husband of Etelvina (Reis) Curvelo of Bridgewater. Son of the late Joaquim and Evangelina Curvelo. Devoted father of Jose J. and his wife Maria C. Curvelo, Margarida M. and her husband Antonio M. Clementino, and Diane R. Curvelo; all of Bridgewater. Proud Grandfather of Stephanie, Samantha and Mathew. Also survived by 8 brothers and sisters all of Canada, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater on Sat. Sept. 13 at 8:00am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at 9:00am. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Visiting hours Fri. from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
