Anna (Giliberti) DiGiovanni, of Medford, died Monday at Life Care Center, Stoneham after a brief illness. She was 89.
Anna was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Frank and the late Maria (D´Angelo) Giliberti. A life long resident of Medford, Anna was a loving wife mother grandmother and sister. She enjoyed the company of her large family and was a good friend and neighbor to many.
She was the beloved wife of the late Giovannino “Slim” DiGiovanni. She was a devoted mother to James J. DiGiovanni and his wife Jean of Revere, Arthur R. DiGiovanni and his wife Carolyn of Byfield, Gregory DiGiovanni and his wife Ellen of FL, Carol Bonasoro and her late husband Walter of FL, Frank W. DiGiovanni and his wife Christine of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to Debra, Lisa, Cheryl, Gregory, Wally, Stacy, Christine and Frank, Jr. She was a loving great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister of Jennie Rocci of Medford the late Josephine Kurker, Nicholas, Peter, and Frank Giliberti.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
