Obituary

In Norton, September 8, 2008 Gladys M. (Spousta) Sypher died after a brief illness at the age of 82. She was the wife of the late Hugh Sypher. Gladys was the daughter of the late Rudolph & Mary (Smith) Spousta. She formerly resided in Brockton and recently lived at the Village at Willows Crossing in Mansfield. Gladys was educated in Taunton schools and graduated from Taunton High School. She was employed at the former Campello Cooperative Bank in Brockton as a mortgage specialist. Gladys was a former member of the Warren Ave. Baptist Church, Beacon Lighters and Women’s Fidelis. She also enjoyed shopping, puzzles, cards, being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her childen Hugh W. Sypher Jr. & his wife Susan of Brockton, Richard D. Sypher & his wife Jennifer of Raynham, Karen J. Mahoney of Jamaica Plains, Cynthia L. Sypher-Lopez & husband Moy of Hanover. Gladys is survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her siblings John Spousta of Mission Viejo, CA., Leslie Spousta of Taunton, Beverly Moores of Wakefield and the late Lillian J. Spousta and Rudy Spousta. Funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Raynham on Friday, Sept. 12th at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thurs. from 4-8pm. Interment in Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham. In lieu of flowers donations in Glady’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT. 06150-1160
