Mrs. Luigia Palladino, age 77 of Medford, formerly of East Boston, died Monday in Winchester Hospital, Winchester. She is the beloved wife of Antonio Palladino with whom she spent more than 50 years of marriage.
Mrs. Palladino was born and educated in Italy, daughter of the late Manuel and Carmine (Tufo) Barletta. She came to the U.S. at the age of 38 and settled in East Boston. She has been a Medford resident since 1982. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and trips to Italy and was a communicant of St. Clement Church.
In addition to her husband she is the beloved mother of Carmen Palladino and his wife Susan of Lynn, Gerard Palladino and his wife Gabriella of Stoneham, Joseph Palladino and his wife Kim of Medford, Rita Imbriano and her husband Michael of Lynn. Loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by 13 brothers and sisters in Italy. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
