Francis J. Casassa “Frank” of Duxbury, formerly of Falmouth died on September 5, 2008. He was 87 years old. Mr. Casassa was born, and raised in Weymouth. He is a WWII veteran, and served in the Pacific in the United Sates Navy. He is a recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr. Casassa worked in the Quincy Shipyard for 17 years. Mr. Casassa lived in Falmouth with his late wife Marjorie, and moved to Duxbury in 2003.
Husband of the late Marjorie Dinneen Casassa. Brother of Marie McCue of Weymouth, and the late John Casassa. Uncle of Dan and his wife Karen McCue of Watertown, James F.X. and his wife Judy Dinneen of Duxbury, and Margot Dinneen Wilson of Washington D.C. Mr. Casassa is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 4-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 8th at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Church in Duxbury. Burial will be at the MA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frank’s name to Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury, MA 02332
