New Bedford - Antonio Medeiros, age 50, died Thursday, September 4, 2008, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Maria Medeiros of New Bedford. Mr. Medeiros was the father of Eduardo and his wife Carla Medeiros and Tiago Medeiros all of New Bedford. He was the brother of Jose Carlos Medeiros of Boston, Carmen Mourato of Wilmington, MA., Fernanda Arruda of Canada, Suzette Almeida and Zelia Ponte of St. Michael, Azores. Mr. Medeiros also leaves behind a granddaughter Sophia Medeiros and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Medeiros was a son of Antonio Medeiros and Eduarda daSilva. He was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1994. Mr. Medeiros worked as a carpenter for Beautiful Homes of New Bedford.
Mr. Medeiros’ Funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., Monday at 8 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery Visiting will be Sunday Evening from 6 –8 P.M. Relative and friends are invited.
