Christine Kinnett Hester, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, September 7 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Edsel Young officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hester was born December 15, 1926 in Telfair County to the late Herbert and Irene Grimes Kinnett. She lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. Mrs. Hester was a former employee of the Tasty Freeze, the Dairy Queen, Irwin Manufacturing and she was a former sitter. She was a member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church and attended eastside Holiness Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Bernice Lee of Waycross, GA; granddaughter, Lisa Diane Lee of Richmond, VA; sisters, Shirley Kinnett of Moultrie, GA, Lola Spell of Pridgen, GA, Berma Jean Harrell of Jacksonville, GA and Annie Ruth Barrentine of Sterling, GA as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Tillman Hester and several brothers and sisters.
