Mrs. Shirley M. (LaVelle) Goglia of Middleton and beloved wife of Robert Goglia, died at the Winchester Hospital on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, following a lengthy illness. She was 63 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 11, 1945, she was a beloved daughter of the late Henry and Vivian (Franklin) LaVelle. Mrs. Goglia was a 24 year resident of Middleton, moving from Melrose in 1984. She was a very devoted person to her family and especially her beloved grandchildren. She was also a member of the Middleton Congregational Church.
Besides her beloved husband, Robert, she will be very sorely missed by two daughters and one son-in-law; Jennifer M. and her husband Jesse W. Harwood of Belmont, N.H. and Robin G. Wasilenko of Lynn, one son; Steven Wasilenko of Salem, one brother; George LaVelle of Andover and two grandchildren; Lauren and David Harwood. She was also the sister of the late Muriel, Donald, Vivian, William, Robert and Roland.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours will be Friday, September 5, 2008, from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery, Middleton.
