John D. Fallon, Jr., died peacefully on March 30, 2003 at his residence while surrounded by his family. He was 68 years of age. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Shirley Ann (Macklin) Fallon with whom he married on June 6th, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in Medford. He was born in Arlington on December 12, 1934, a son of the late John D. and Phyllis G. (Brown) Fallon. A resident of Burlington for over 36 years formerly of Arlington, John was employed as a mechanic for Russo Marine for 40 years until his retirement.John’s interests include boating, woodworking, mechanics, car races and building model airplanes.Besides his beloved wife, Shirley A. (Macklin) Fallon, John is survived by three children, Pamela D. and her husband Edward M. Carpenter of Lunenburg, John D. Fallon, III, of Leominster and Cynthia L. and her husband Randy B. Grasso of Freemont, N.H. Devoted brother of Marjorie Spence of Pepperell, Martha Fager of Carver and Arthur Fallon of Townsend. Cherished grandfather of Shawn M. Carpenter of Lunenburg.His funeral service will be celebrated in the First Baptist Church, 37 Oakland Street, Medford, Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
