Margaret (Carvalho) Hreschak, age 93, formerly of Windham Estates, Groton and Lake Worth, Fla., died Sunday evening at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Uncasville after an extended illness.
Mrs. Hreschak was born in Stonington on October 15, 1909 the daughter of Marion and Susie (Silva) Carvalho.
A longtime former resident of Mystic, she was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Costa of Uncasville, her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen J. Hreschak Sr., her son, Stephen J. Hreschak Jr., and her daughter, Elizabeth Main, a brother George Carvalho, and a sister, Stella Payne.
Visitation will be at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 11am until 11:45am followed by A Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church, East Main Street, Mystic at 12noon. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Old Mystic.
