Mark A. Robinson, age 44, of North Stonington, died Sunday at his home after a long struggle with diabetes.
He was born in Westerly on March 3, 1959 the son of William Z. Robinson of Stonington and Jessie (Spivey) Piacenza of North Stonington. He was agraduate of Wheeler High School and attended the University of Maine.
Mark was employed as a shipfitter at Electric boat before retiring due to ill health.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Francine Robinson of Stonington, 4 children, Jessica Capen-Robinson of New London, Alixis Capen-Robinson of Middletown, Taylor Robinson and Colby Robinson, both of Canterbury, a stepsister, Colette Murphy of East Hampton, a stepbrother, Kenneth Piacenza of Pawcatuck, and his estranged wife, Victoria Robinson of Canterbury. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and David Robinson.
The Funeral service and interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc, 300 Reseach Pkwy, Meriden CT 06450 or to your local Lions Club.
