BANTA, MARY ELEANOR, 94, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008.
She had been a copy typist for the Internal Revenue Service and a stop control clerk in Ft. Knox, KY. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran and of the Over the Hill Girls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Banta. She is survived by her sister, Virginia G. Johnson; brother, Carl Gaslin (Margaret); and nieces, Carol Altman, Peggy Lawrence and Trisha Niemann.
Her service will be 1p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
