Annie L. Bauer, 98

Annie L.(Abel) Bauer, 98, of Mansfield died on Saturday August 30, 2008 at the Goddard Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Stoughton. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Bauer to whom she was wed to for 67 years at the time of his death on September 12, 2002.
Born in Boston, MA on September 18, 1909 she was a daughter of the late Michael and Betty (Jaunzen) Abel.
In addition to being a dedicated homemaker to her family, Mrs. Bauer had also worked for the Ames family in Easton, at the Foxboro Co. in Foxboro and also at the former Mansfield Bleachery.
Educated in Mansfield schools Annie was a longtime member of the Orthodox Congregational Church in Mansfield where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
A lover of nature and wildlife Mrs. Bauer received much pleasure from tending to her flowers and vegetable gardens and being in the presence of her loving family and friends. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past 80 years.
She was the devoted mother of William J. Bauer of Mansfield and the late Elizabeth R. Cameron who had resided in Attleboro. She was the mother in law of the late Constance E. “Connie” Bauer, grandmother of the late William K. Bauer and was the sister of the late Wally Fraser, Mildred Jeager and Alice Deltano. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Gerry Cameron, Steven Cameron, Deborah Boss, Glen Bauer and Joseph Cameron and 8 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, 9 nieces and nephews, her sister in law Rose Fisher of Walpole and many friends.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday September 4th at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday September 3rd from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
