After service attended Suffolk University graduated with a BS in accounting. During World War II served in the navy aboard the USS Bullard, USS Mass and USS Casin Young as a machinsit mate 2nd Class & was awarded the Purple Heart in the South Pacific aboard the USS Casin Young, Awrded Presidential Unit Citation for action with 3rd, 5th &7th Fleets in the Pacific. Retired from Watertown Aresenal U.S Army, Watertown, MA. Life member DAV Chapter 22 & VFW Post #56, Life member & Past Commadore So. Boston Yacht Club, Past Commadore Puritan Canoe Club, Life & Past president Commadores Club of America, Past President of Mass Bay Hustler Assoc, Co-Founder and former treasurer USS Casin Young DD7793 Assoc at the Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston. Associated with Stephan Darius Post#317 Band, Member St. Brigid CYO. He was also known as Big Cid Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, Monday 4-8 P.M. A procession will leave the Funeral Home Tuesday at 11: 00 for a prayer service in the Forsyth Chapel at Forest Hills Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. Interment with Military Honors to follow.
