Beatrice L. LaJeunesse, 73, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Mrs. LaJeunesse was born in Chester, NH on June 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Fred P. and Marion (Porter) McFarland. She was a resident of Derry for several years, formerly living in Chester. Mrs. LaJeunesse worked for 15 years at Klev-Bro Shoe Co. in Derry. She was a former past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary Post #108 of Chester, and was a member of Church of the Transfiguration in Manchester, NH.
She is survived by her husband, Louis R. LaJeunesse of Derry; one son, Lee Roy Davis of Concord, NH; two stepsons, Robert LaJeunesse of Concord, and Dennis LaJeunesse of Manchester; two stepdaughters, Denise Godbois of Milford, NH, and Joanne Bednard of Hillsborough, NH; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Bethel Drake of Raymond, NH; one brother, Kenneth J. McFarland of Hopewell, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, George H. Davis in 1995.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Thursday, September 4th at 1:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, earmark for Cancer Research, One Medical Center Dr., Lebanon, NH 03756.
