HAVERHILL – Stephen M. Saffie 54 of Haverhill died Wednesday August 27, 2008 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill, MA.
Born and educated in Methuen he was employed with Market Basket and also Rockingham Park. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Lawrence, MA. He was an avid sports fan which included Methuen High School Football especially the Thanksgiving rivalry between Methuen and Dracut. He enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and Bruins. He was especially fond of all his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his mother Florence (Haynes) Saffie of Lawrence, MA.
Brothers Mitchell and his wife Lynne Saffie of Carrboro, NC, Gary and his wife Debra Saffie of Dracut, MA, Mark and his wife Milissa Saffie of Methuen, MA, Jeffrey and his wife Tomoko Saffie of Rochester, NH and Gregory and his wife Kathryn Saffie of Sandown, NH.
Sisters Donna Giannuzi and her husband Frank of Cape Coral, FL and Linda Ford and her husband Joseph of Houston, TX.
Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stephen was the son of the late Abraham A. Saffie

Family and friends may call on Tuesday 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30a.m. at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church 145 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
