Mrs. Barbara J. (McMann) Bayle, of this city died Tuesday, August 26 at Taunton
Nursing Home following a 5 month illness. She was the wife of the late Edward
Bayle. She was born 80 years ago in Dighton, the daughter of the late Thomas H. and
Elizabeth (Martin) McMann. She was educated in Taunton, was a graduate of the for-
mer St. Mary’s High School and had been a city resident for most of her life. Prior to
her retirement, she had been employed in the Packing Department of L.G. Balfour in
Attleboro for 5 years. She had previously been employed as a file clerk for Reed and
Barton Silversmiths for 30 years. She was a member of the Oakland Grange, the Legion
of Mary and the Quarter Century Club of Reed and Barton. Mrs. Bayle was active in the
Girl Scouts of America. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church.
She leaves:
2 nephews: David and William Bayle
Her dear friends: Andrea Proulx and her husband Henry of Taunton
several cousins
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Church, 261 Tremont Street, on Friday, September 5 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. Rela-
tives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are omitted. Arrangements are
under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
